Buyers Premium

All Lots sold are subject to Buyers Premium +VAT at the rate specified in the specific Auction information.

Online Bidding will have an additional Internet Premium +VAT at the rate specified in the specific Auction information.

Monday General Auction: 25%+VAT
Architectural Auctions: 15%+VAT
West Meon Farm Auction: 12.5%+VAT

*Wellers Website: Internet Bidders are subject to an additional Premium of 3%+VAT
*Saleroom.com / iBidder.com / BidSpotter: Internet Bidders are subject to an additional Premium of 4.95%+VAT

 

 

Buyer’s Registration

All Buyers must register to bid in the Auctions. ‘Online’ Bidders must register online via the www.wellersauctions.com website. Bidders at present are not allowed to bid n the ‘Room’ due to Covid-19. When customers are allowed back onto the premises, those who wish to bid in the room must register at Reception and collect a ‘Bidders Number’ which must be retained throughout the sale. The Auctioneer will not accept your bid in the saleroom without a ‘Bidders Number’.

 

Absentee Bids

During Covid-19, you can place absentee bids online through our website by inserting a figure into the lot and selecting ‘place bid’. As and when customers are allowed to return to bid in the room, If you are unable to attend the auction you may leave an absentee bid ith us at the saleroom, please fill in the printed yellow form which can be found in reception and return to one of our receptionists.

*Special rules apply to West Meon Rural Auction absentee bids & Off-Site Architectural Auctions.

 

Payment

Payment must be made on the day of the sale if you are in attendance before you can receive items won at auction (not available during Covid-19). If you have bid online via the Wellers Auction website then you have until close of business (3:30pm) the day following day to pay for your items at the absolute latest. You then must conact reception on 01483 802280 to book your collection slot. You have 5 working days to collect your items and there are plenty of time slots available for all customers. Any items not collected by the end of the five working days to collect will incur a storage fee penalty, unless a valid reason can be provided as to why items cannot be collected by our 5 working day deadline, your items will be re-entered if payment and collection does not take place.

CASH – Sterling ONLY (Not Available during COVID-19)
Payment may be made by Debit Card, in person and chip/pin only.
Credit Card is now no longer available to purchase your items with (as of 01/01/2020).

*Goods will not be released until payment is received and/or cleared through our Bank Account.

 

Internet Bidding

Successful Buyers of lots that have bid using our live or timed bidding options over the internet are subject to an extra Internet charge +VAT on the hammer price of that lot.

 

VAT

VAT at the current rate will be payable on all items marked with an asterisk (*) in the Sale Catalogue.

 

Condition Reports

Condition Reports are now available for our General Auction Lots, please submit your condition report requests to guildford@wellersofguildford.com by 7:00am latest on the sale day. Architectural and West Meon Prospective Bidders are strongly advised to email us for a condition report and any specific information required on a lot, if they are unable to view in person.

 

Warranty

All lots are sold without warranty, and no guarantees are given or implied as to their working condition.

 

Insurance

All items on the premises are deemed to be insured by the Vendor before the fall of the hammer and by the Purchaser after the fall of the hammer.

 

Clearance

Subject to satisfactory payment (see above), all items should be removed and cleared from site after 5 working days. Please ensure you book your collection slot prior to your arrival.

 

Packaging & Shipping

We do not pack or post items ourselves, however, we have details of
‘Part and Parcel’ www.partandparceluk.co.uk, 01252 545611;We do not pack or post items ourselves, however, we have details of
‘Pack & Send’ www.packsend.co.uk, 01483 338799 and
‘Mailboxes etc’ www.mbe.co.uk/guildford, 01483 453131, who will pack and ship items once paid for in full. They invoice separately for their service.

By Registering to bid you are deemed to have read and accepted our full Terms and Conditions.

Sales held at West Meon and clients own premises are subject to different Terms & Conditions than the sales held at our Guildford saleroom. Please check each specific online catalogue details.
